May 25, 2010 ... With a convincing 5-1 victory over
the determined Valrico Dawgs of War in the State Finals, the FC America
U13 Omni White team concluded their season with a very impressive 30-1
record. Their road to the finals included games against 4 of the top
10 teams in the state, including a gritty semi-final victory over a
talented and fast Weston 96/97 Premier team
This marks the second consecutive year they’ve finished the season being
crowned State Champs. Last year’s team finished the season 34-2-2, winning
the President’s Cup and finishing the season ranked #1 in the USA by the
Soccerincollege Ranking system. The coaches and players knew this could be
a magical year after winning the Disney Junior Qualifier in impressive
fashion along with having multiple players selected to both the NikeID2
Camp and the US Olympic Development Program. The boys did not disappoint
by winning the Adidas Columbus Day Classic without surrendering a goal and
by conquering the nationally recognized Score at the Shore tournament
before entering and winning the State Cup Tournament.
